### 113th Street is not a typical rental house -- it's a beach house that we have called home for 35 years. We hope to let some new families enjoy their summers here, just as we have. It's not a sand castle -- it is an old fashioned beach house with plenty of technology. It is a family gathering spot -- ready to give everyone a place to relax, enjoy the beach, and settle down to share meals at our "seats 14" dining room table -- the gathering place for all visitors! 2021 included a full kitchen renovation with all new appliances. 2022 brought updated bathrooms and a new air conditioning unit. Like every year, we add chairs and beach towels, games puzzles and more. 35 years sounds like a long time, but we believe that when a place feels like home, age is not important. Many of our tenants return year after year. It is how traditions are built.
With a living room, a family room, a screened porch and open deck, there is room for everyone to wander off and read, watch the Phillies in HD, do a puzzle, play games, or just have conversation in the living room - time together AND time alone.
There are 7 bedrooms --all but one on the second floor. The Master has a king bed and we have two additional bedrooms each with a Queen size bed--so multiple families/generation all have a place to call theirs. The Master has its own full bath, and there are two full-baths in the upstairs hall, again helping families spread out. There are plenty of TVs in the bedrooms and in the family room and living room.
Our home is located on the beach block at 113th and 2nd Avenue, less than 20 "shore blocks" to town, on bike-lane lined Second Avenue. We are adjacent to the extensive "nuns'retreat and beach" as well as the bird sanctuary. In the past two years, the sisters have subdivided and sold lots on their property, built a new retreat, and are anticipating huge homes on $4 million dollar lots. We believe that our "Beach House" is truly a family-friendly retreat for your vacation or special event.
